GXDevice components are designed to improve data communication solutions.
With this software you easily communicate between devices, using the data connection, and the
protocol of your choice.
GXDevice is designed to be used with device template files created with GXDevice Editor. The device templates act as instructions for GXDevice. GXDevice can not be used without them.

To be able to use the Gurux GXDevice component completely, you need at least a
Pentium II class PC compatible computer, with at least 64 MB of RAM and 10 MB of free hard
disk space.

System overview
GXDevice software is designed to improve data communication solutions.
With this software you can easily communicate between a computer and a terminal device, using a
data connection, and a protocol of your choice.
The system consists of several components based on the COM technology. With the components you easily create a data link to a terminal device, and send and receive data.

Main components of the system:
- GXDeviceList is a collection of devices.
- GXDevice implements physical device with properties, and communication methods, of the device.
- GXProperty is an attribute of the device. The device can have one or more properties. Each device has individual properties.
- GXPacket component includes the primary data, and the sending information of a protocol packet.
- GXScriptParser is used to handle different kind of protocols. GXScriptParser adds an easy way to configure GXDevice to understand different protocols.
- Media components are used to change parameters of the data connection.
