GXGPRS

GXGPRS icon   GuruxGPRS offers an effective and easy way to send data using General Packet Radio Service connection.

The GPRS enabled networks offer always-on, high capacity, Internet based content, and packet based data, services.

Notifications of errors, media state changes, and received data, give you ways and means to utilize triggered events. Build-in, resettable counters, for sent and received bytes, make it easy to follow up the modem traffic. You can set the component to send data synchronously or asynchronously. You can also set, whether or not an access point node (APN) is used.

Before using GXGPRS

The GPRS entry is set by selecting the name of GPRS entry to use. The protocol to use can be selected between UDP (default) and TCP/IP. The host port is set by entering the host port number, and the host name by entering the IP address of the host. All the obligatory properties are collected to be set in an easy-to-use dialog. That is a simple and secure way to assure all is set, when starting to use the component.

Notifications
When using GXGPRS component, always listen to OnError event, as all errors that occur, after the connection is established, are sent through it. GXGPRS component is activated using Connect method that opens the connection determined by entry, protocol, host port, host name properties, and APN, if set to be used. Received data is received through Received event.

Using the GuruxGPRS component with different development tools, such as Access, Delphi, Visual Basic, Java ,Visual C++, c# (csharp), VB.NET (Visual Basic.NET) and Managed C++ is very easy. With the component you get a Visual Basic sample that shows how to use the communication technique. Gurux communication medias have been made on the Windows API interface. Due to this, the components are very efficient and do not require external libraries or DLL files to operate.
